We have broken this guide up into the following sections:
Navigation and Structure
The experience a visitor has when using your website will come down to the navigation and structure of your website. Making sure navigation is intuitive and logical will play a big part in making your website easy to use. As a rule of thumb you want to be able to get to any page of your website with three clicks of a mouse. This will reduce the chances of users getting lost if you have lost of content. Use the structure of your website to break content up into manageable chunks so nothing gets lost in the middle of other content.
There have been studies into how people see pages of a website. Generally speaking the top left hand corner gets much more attention than the bottom right. Placing key information or promotions in the wrong area of the page can make the difference between it being taken in by the majority of visitors or it being missed completely.
