Content Management Systems
Modern websites cannot afford to be built and left. If you want a website to really work for your business it has to be used and used well. A big part of using a website is constantly updating, amending or removing content. Unless you know quite a bit about website programming this can be a huge job but fortunately you can now use what are called content management systems.
A content management system enables you to easily create, manage and remove content from the pages of your website. They work by controlling what and how you can change on the pages of your website
There are a number of different content management systems out there all with their pros and cons. We actually designed our own CMS called contentPORT as we could not find a commercially available content management system that fitted our clients requirements. We really needed something we could tailor dependant on each client making it as simple or as complex as each client required.
