CIFAS are the UKs fraud prevention service dedicated to the prevention of fraud, including staff fraud, and the identification of financial crime. CIFAS has 270 Members spread across banking, credit cards, asset finance, retail credit, mail order, insurance, savings, telecommunications, factoring, share dealing and the public sector.
Their website forms a major communication platform between CIFAS and their members so security is vitally important. As well as the public side there are a number of secure areas of the website each with specific functions and requirements.
Before being set live the system had to be thoroughly tested. We needed to ensure it would operate smoothly and effectively when being used by the thousands of users who would have access to the various systems. The system also underwent a program of professional penetration testing to ensure security was as tight as it could be.
