To organise computing resources and enable secure storage of data Jarrett & Lam Consulting installed a network based on Microsoft Windows Small Business Server.
The network provides secure file storage and hosts their email system and the Intranet developed by our web developers. Remote access is also securely managed to allow mobile users to access the systems while at home over broadband, or on the road using 3G network connections. Mission critical data is protected by automatically managed anti-virus systems, high security firewalls and well planed user management. In house solutions
A popular IT solution we developed was a file access and storage system for our clients that have information or files to share after we were asked a number of times to solve the problem of file distribution. Some of our clients approached us with a range of issue relating to distribution and managements of files, images documents. Due to different working situations they were having to send multiple copies of important digital data to a number of people and keeping track of who had what as well as the changes that were being made was adding to their already large workload.
FilePORT is a nice easy storage facility which allows you to upload your files from any PC via a secure login. Users can then set up other logins for anyone they need to access the files enabling you to keep one current copy that everyone you need to have can access. After launching filePORT many of our clients also commented that it also serves as a great backup utility for important files.
